My name is Ashle Wilson. Though I am a West Texas girl at heart, I currently teach high school special education in Rio Rancho, NM. In December of 2008, I finished my M.A. in Special Education. Then, in January of 2009, I was fortunate enough to be selected to begin a doctoral program at Texas Tech University. Though I originally set out to study the field of deaf education, my interest was quickly sparked by the field of deaf-blindness. My goal is to help empower my students to be better advocates for themselves and to educate their communities-both locally and on national and international scales.
